Hello, I am Adam Payne.
I help beginners, bloggers, and side hustlers get real clarity, cut out the noise, and build something that lasts.
Today, I run several brands under my company, 54 Media. These include Video Marketing Insider, Premium PLR, Getting Started Basics, and PinQuest. Everything I do is built on the belief that long term success comes from focusing on customers, not chasing quick wins.
But it was not always like this.
Back in 2000, I arrived in Japan with plans to stay six months. I thought I would save a little money, see the country, and move on.
Nearly twenty five years later, I am still here. One wife, two children, and a life I could never have predicted.
For many years I worked as an English teacher. It was steady work, but the hours were long and the rewards were small. Most days I left early in the morning and got home late at night. I missed important moments with my children and felt trapped by a life that was quietly passing me by.
I earned a Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics, thinking it would open new doors. It did, in a way, but it also taught me that academic success means very little if you have no control over your own time and future.
That was the beginning of a major shift.
When I first turned to the online world, I knew absolutely nothing.
No business background. No marketing skills. No technical knowledge.
I paid thousands for training that led nowhere. I joined programmes that promised the world and delivered nothing. I spent hours every night after work trying to figure out how this strange online business world worked.
I made every mistake you could think of.
I bought products I never used. I tried to build blogs and email lists without knowing what I was doing. I thought working hard was the same as making progress.
It was frustrating. It was embarrassing. And it taught me lessons I would never have learned otherwise.
The real change came when I made a decision to stop listening to every voice out there and focus on building real skills.
For me, it began with video marketing. Making simple videos that ranked well. Helping real people solve real problems. Nothing fancy, nothing shiny, but it worked.
Those early steps led to my first product launch, my first buyers list, and the beginnings of what would become a full time online business.
In 2018, I was finally able to leave teaching and run my businesses full time.
Since then, I have built multiple brands designed to help people who are starting from scratch. People who are tired of fake promises. People who want to build something honest, sustainable, and rewarding.
My philosophy is simple. Focus on serving others first and the success will follow.
If you have ever felt overwhelmed, confused, or unsure where to begin, know this. I have been there. I understand what it feels like. And everything I create is designed to make your path clearer, simpler, and genuinely possible.
